Academic Progress Reviews check how you are going in your course. They help make sure you stay on track.

If your results are below expectations, you may be identified as ‘At Risk’.

This can happen if you:

  • Fail 50% or more of your units
  • Fail the same unit more than once

We will contact you and offer support to help you improve.

If your results do not improve, you may need to ‘Show Cause’. This means you must explain why you should continue your course.

This can happen if you:

  • Fail 50% or more of your units again
  • Fail the same unit three or more times

Professional Degree students

Some courses have extra requirements.

This includes:

  • Professional degrees
  • Education courses
  • Nursing courses

Check your course handbook or search the Professional degrees page, Education courses page or the Nursing courses page.
