The Professional Placements program normally aligns with Semester 1 or Semester 2 of an undergraduate degree. There are two intakes per year.
To be eligible to register your interest, you must:
- Have completed at least 150 credit points in your course
- Have a credit average of 60% or higher
- Still have at least 37.5 credit points (three units) remaining in your degree after the placement
These requirements ensure that you’re ready to apply your academic knowledge to real-world tasks and get the most out of the placement experience.
You’ll need to register for a professional placement in the semester prior to the intake period you are considering. For example, if you are planning to undertake a placement in Semester 1, 2026, you will need to register in Semester 2, 2025.
Note: If you have already finished your studies, you are not eligible to undertake a professional placement.
