A Professional Placement is an academic program which includes enrolment into academic units with tasks and assessments that must be completed as well as the completion of a work placement.

By completing a six-month Professional Placement you will be enrolled in Professional Placement units totalling the equivalent of 50 credit points. This consists of 'Work Experience in Industry A' (25 credit points) and 'Integrated Professional Placement A' (25 credit points).

By completing a 12-month Professional Placement you will be enrolled into Professional Placement units totalling the equivalent of 100 credit points in total. This consists of 'Work Experience in Industry A&B' (25 credit points each) and 'Integrated Professional Placement A & B' (25 credit points each). Enrolling in a 12 month or 6-month Professional Placement will change the structure and completion requirements of your degree and will extend your degree by up to 12 months.
