To apply for a Leave of Absence
1. Log in to My Forms
2. Fill out a ‘Leave of Absence Request’ form
3. Continue to attend classes until your leave is assessed
Leave of Absence needs to be assessed by Swinburne staff before the leave is granted. You must continue with your studies and attend all classes as per your Class Timetable until your application has been finalised.
If you'd like to continue making progress but need a reduced study load, consider switching to part-time study or taking units online.
International students: There is additional criteria to be assessed when you apply for a Leave of Absence. Please ensure you submit supporting documentation with your application.
