Domestic Students
Most Swinburne courses allow you to defer your offer.
This means you can delay the start of your course to a later intake.

How long can I defer for?

Deferral timeframes vary by course. In most cases:

  • Higher education courses can be deferred for up to two years
  • Vocational education and TAFE courses can be deferred for up to one year

Some courses do not allow deferrals due to limited places. This information is usually published on the "Overview" tab of the course page
