Am I eligible for a Public Transport Concession Card and how can I apply?

Domestic Undergraduate Students

To be eligible for a Transport Victoria Tertiary Student ID you must be:

  • Enrolled full time.
  • A citizen or permanent resident of Australia, have refugee status, are studying as part of an approved overseas exchange program or hold an Australian Development Scholarship.
  • Enrolled in an Undergraduate course

 

Domestic Postgraduate/part-time students 

If you are studying in a Postgraduate course or Part-time, you may be eligible for concessions in cases where:

  • you hold a Health Care card
  • you hold a Carers card, 
  • you are an Asylum seeker etc.

International Students

International students, New Zealand citizens and study abroad students are not eligible for a concession card, however, you may be eligible for the International Student Travel Pass if you are enrolled in the following courses:

  • Bachelor Degree, Associate Degree or UniLink Diploma
  • A Diploma or Advanced Diploma

 

How to apply

  • Eligible students will be emailed a pre-filled      application form, it is also accessible within the My Swinburne portal under ‘Documents’. 
  • This pre-filled application form will have your Student ID photo and the institutional declaration stamp.

Take the pre-filled application form to a participating Transport Victoria station to be processed.
