What happens if I withdraw before the Census date?

If you decide to formally withdraw on or before the Census date, you won’t be liable for any fees. Check the academic calendar for key dates and log into My Financials to see payment and Census deadlines.

Before the census date, you might want to:  

International students   

International students may have visa requirements, such as a full-time study load. However, in certain circumstances you can apply to under load by submitting an Enrolment amendment.   

Some things you should know: 

  • If you formally withdraw from your course before the Census date, you may be liable for any outstanding fines, debts or administration fees. They will be deducted from your refund request.  
  • Refer to the 'Payment of Refunds' section of the 'Terms and Conditions' in your Offer letter for refund eligibility.  
  • Make sure you speak to an International Student Advisor before withdrawing.
