The Undergraduate Certificate of Higher Education Studies is an Australian-first Early Exit Award. It provides a formal qualification for students who are withdrawing from their tertiary studies before completing a full undergraduate degree.

By acknowledging your achievement in foundational higher education and academic practices, this certificate ensures your hard work is recognised. It’s designed to support your professional development and provide a pathway back to study in the future, allowing you to build on your qualification with recognised course credit whenever you're ready to return.

Am I eligible?

You may be eligible for this award if you have successfully achieved a minimum of 50 credit points (usually 4 units) within an undergraduate (bachelor or Unilink diploma) degree at Swinburne University:

  • 25 credit points of core or major units from a single or double undergraduate degree
  • 25 credit points of other studies (comprising of core, major or elective units)
