What is the Academic Integrity module?
Academic Integrity is all about presenting your work morally and ethically. This module has all the information you need to ensure you submit work that showcases your authentic knowledge and critical thinking skills. Stand out from the crowd with unique, honest work while avoiding academic misconduct. The module ensures that you conduct yourself appropriately in group work and during exams. This should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
Where can I find this module?
This module is available on Canvas for you to access and complete. Once you’ve completed the module, make sure you can see a green tick icon next to every item and quiz.

Why do I have to do this module?
With recent legislative changes, universities across Australia are working to build shared expectations around key topics that shape our communities and our students' university experience.
This module helps students understand what is expected of them and highlight the importance of critical thinking during your time at Swinburne and in your future work.
This module contains a lot of useful information about:
- What academic integrity is
- Where to seek appropriate help with academic matters such as writing and referencing
- The consequences of breaches of academic integrity.

When do I have to complete this module by?
This module must be completed by the end of your first teaching period (Semester 1 or Semester 2).
What happens if I do not complete this module?
If you don’t complete this and the Talking About Consent module, you won’t be able to view your results. You will still be able to re-enrol in future teaching periods, but your results will appear a few days later.
