Once you’ve submitted your registration through our online form, our team will assess your eligibility.
You will then receive an email confirming whether you meet the eligibility criteria.

  • If you meet the eligibility criteria, you’ll receive an email from the Student Placements Team outlining the next steps to prepare for placement.

What does the Professional Placement preparation involve?

The process of applying for a professional placement is competitive and your success may depend on the following criteria:

  • The quality of your CV and cover letter
  • Your academic record
  • Interview performance
  • A folio (if required for your discipline)

Each employer may have a different selection process, which can include:

  • One-on-one interviews
  • Group assessments
  • Additional screening tasks

How do I apply for Professional Placement opportunities?

After completing all preparation requirements, you’ll gain access to InPlace — our online platform for placements and internships. From there, you can:

  • View available opportunities
  • Apply for positions of interest

     

Please note: Selections are competitive and typically include an interview with the industry partner. We strongly suggest that you have your CV and Cover Letter reviewed by a member of our Careers Launchpad.

The Careers Launchpad is the on-campus destination for on-the-spot advice for your careers and WIL questions. The Careers Launchpad is located on Wakefield St, next to Cafe Gomez. We’re available Monday- Friday, 9am – 5pm. No appointment is required, however you will be required to check in upon arrival at the Launchpad.
