What is an academic penalty date?

An academic penalty date is the last date that Higher Education and UniLink students can withdraw from a unit without receiving a fail grade (WF) on their transcript.

• This date is after the Census date. If you withdraw after Census, you will still need to pay the fees for that unit.
• You can see academic penalty dates in the Academic Calendar.
