Professional Placements normally align with Semester 1 or Semester 2 of an undergraduate degree. There are two intakes per year.

Once you have completed your placement, you must have a minimum of 37.5 credit points (three units) remaining to complete upon your return. Therefore a placement cannot be the final aspect of your undergraduate degree.

You must meet the eligibility criteria below to be able to undertake a Professional Placement:

  • Be a local or international undergraduate student enrolled in a standard on-campus degree program
  • Have achieved a minimum 60 per cent graded average
  • Have completed a minimum of 150 credit points in your degree and have a minimum of 37.5 credit points remaining at the completion of the placement

You need to register for a professional placement in the semester prior to the intake period you are considering.

Note: If you have already finished your studies you are not eligible to undertake a professional placement.
