What is Swinburne's grading schema?

A Grading Schema defines how your results are displayed as grades.

The current grading schema has been in place since 2014, also the year Swinburne adopted the use of the four-point Grade Point Average (GPA) system for both higher education and vocational education (VE; diploma and above):

  • Results from before 2014 remain under the previous schema and cannot be converted

  • GPA calculations are only available for results from 2014 onwards

  • If you studied both before and after 2014, both schemas will appear on your academic transcript
