Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes/vaping, is prohibited anywhere on Swinburne campuses, including outdoor areas and in and around university buildings.
It is monitored and enforced by Swinburne security staff. This means that if you do wish to smoke or vape, you'll be required to leave campus.
Swinburne was the first Victorian university to introduce a totally smoke-free environment. We are proud to be leading the way here, especially as smoking is the most preventable cause of death and disease in Australia.
